Arturis
Like many of his people, who were native to the Delta Quadrant, Arturis was a gifted linguist. When his people were assimilated by the Borg in 2374, Arturis reasoned that the U.S.S. Voyager NCC-74656‘s aid to the Borg against Species 8472 was responsible. He believed that had Voyager not so allied themselves, the Borg would have been defeated by Species 8472, and his people would not have been assimilated. Seeking revenge, Arturis created an elaborate trap to convince the Voyager crew that Starfleet had sent an advanced starship, the U.S.S. Dauntless NX-01A, to rescue them. In fact, there was no Federation Starship Dauntless; the vessel was a fake onto which Arturis hoped to trap the Voyager crew so that they could be sent into Borg space to be assimilated. The Voyager crew discovered the deception in time to escape Arturis’ trap, but Arturis himself was assimilated when his ship entered Borg space.[1] Portrayed by Ray Wise.
