U.S.S. Carolina (TOS-32)
Ranger class (Decipher #3)
The Ranger class[2] U.S.S. Carolina apparently sent out a distress signal to the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 on Stardate 3497.2. The transmission turned out to be a hoax, a Klingon attempt to prevent the Enterprise from returning to Capella IV.[1]
