U.S.S. Kearsarge NCC-57566

Challenger (II) class. The U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D rendezvoused with the Kearsarge after the Kot’baval festival on Maranga IV in 2370.¹ The Kearsarge was part of a fleet assigned to defend Vulcan during the Borg invasion of 2381. The ship’s first officer was killed and the commanding officer, Captain Tando, suffered a nervous breakdown, leaving the ship’s second officer, Lieutenant Commander Kara na Miin, in command.² The ship later made port at Starbase 22.³ The class name and registry are taken from The Star Trek Encyclopedia and were not used on screen.
