Spock

Vulcan/Human hybrid. Science officer aboard the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 under the command of Captain Pike. Spock sustained a leg injury during an incident on Rigel VII two weeks before the ship encountered the Talosians, resulting in a slight limp.[1]
Spock was in his final year at Starfleet Academy when, at Captain Pike‘s request, he was granted a commission as an Ensign and brought aboard the Enterprise to replace the ship’s science officer, who had unexpectedly come down with Virillian Toxic Fever prior to a scheduled long-term survey of the Pathiad Nebula. Spock led his class in Astrography, Comparative Xenobiology, Semiotics, Quantum Mechanics, Warp Engineering, and four other disciplines, in addition to being the first Vulcan to join the Human-dominated Starfleet.[2] Portrayed by Leonard Nimoy.
