Captain Picard is kidnapped by a mysterious alien race!

Data and Troi, along with Wesley and a couple of others, head out in a shuttle and investigate a new planet with no evidence of intelligent life. On the way back to the Enterprise, their vessel is trapped in a tractor beam by the Tenirans, who claim the planet belongs to them. When Picard intervenes to save his officers, he watches in horror as a bright light appears and the shuttle vanishes. Picard is kept busy investigating their disappearance and negotiating with the new species.
