Gemworld, Book One

An artificial world battles a natural disaster!

Lieutenant Melora Pazlar finds herself stationed aboard the Enterprise. Experiencing weird dreams, she begs Picard and Barclay to take her home to the planet Gemworld. This artificial world, made entirely of crystal and held together by a force field, might be starting to crumble. Over a half dozen different alien races live on the crystalline planet, and they must all work together to save their world. The planet will disintegrate in less than eight days, and it appears that someone has sabotaged the network holding the force field in place.
