Spock is near death after an alien attack!

A peaceful planet called Aritani experiences sudden attacks, leaving both barren land and dead bodies in its wake. During the investigation, Spock suffers a traumatic injury, leaving him in a coma and possibly brain dead. Out of nowhere, a mysterious woman appears on the Enterprise with a possible, yet controversial cure for Spock.
