Xindi

The Xindi originated from a planet in the region once known as the Delphic Expanse. In 2153, the Xindi attacked Earth with a deadly probe, cutting a swath from Florida to Venezuela. They did this because they were told that their homeworld would be destroyed by Humans in 400 years. The Xindi were at work on a more powerful weapon, and intended on completely destroying Earth.[1]
There were five distinct species of Xindi: Xindi-Aquatics, Xindi-Arboreals (sometimes called “Xindi-Sloths”), Xindi-Insectoids, Xindi-Primates (sometimes called “Xindi-Humanoids”), and Xindi-Reptilians.[2] A sixth species, the Xindi-Avians, were extinct by the 22nd century; they were killed off in a war that went on for nearly a hundred years, which destroyed the Xindi homeworld,[4] Xindus.[2] In the mid-22nd century the Xindi Council was formed to reunify the surviving races, but their attention was diverted from a peaceful agenda to an aggressive one in order to address the alleged “human threat.”[1]
